West Hull man who dropped cigarette butt fined £200 for littering
Dropping a cigarette butt has resulted in a £200 fine for one west Hull man.
Lee Coulson, of Woolwich Drive, was prosecuted for littering after dropping the butt on Ferensway in the city centre in June 9.

Mr Coulson failed to pay the fixed penalty notice and Hull magistrates found Coulson guilty in his absence last week.
As well as the £200 fine, he was ordered to pay costs of £100 and a victims' surcharge of £15.

Councillor John Hewitt, portfolio holder for neighbourhoods and communities, said: "We want residents and visitors to enjoy walking through clean and litter-free streets in Hull.
"Unfortunately, one of the major litter problems we have to deal with every day is from cigarette butts.
"You should always think before disposing of your litter. If you do not do this, then you may receive either a fixed penalty notice or face legal action.
"This prosecution shows our commitment to tackling littering across the city and we encourage anyone who witnesses someone dropping litter to report it to us."
