Woman knocked down in east Hull 'stable' after suffering serious injuries
A woman who suffered serious head injuries when she was hit by a car is "improving" in hospital.
The 58-year-old Hull woman was crossing Marfleet Avenue, near the junction with Hedon Road, when she was hit by a red Ford Mondeo estate.

She suffered a fractured skull, broken arm and internal injuries and was taken to Hull Royal Infirmary.
Her condition this morning was described as stable and improving.

The car was travelling towards the Hedon Road roundabout when the accident happened at about 1.30pm on Friday. The driver, a 42-year-old man from Nottinghamshire, was unhurt.
Witnesses are asked to call police on 101, quoting log number 327 of September 14.
