CURTIS Woodhouse will make the first defence of his English light-welterweight title next month.

The former Hull City footballer faces unbeaten Shayne Singleton at the Magna Centre in Rotherham on February 22.

Woodhouse beat Dave Ryan last year to win the English title and is aiming to stay on course for a shot at the British title later this year by retaining his belt.
