WITH regard to your article of May 3 "Protests at animal testing will deter tourists".

I find it sad that the people of Grimston are content for animals to be bred for cruel and misleading experi- ments, while their only concerns are how the inevitable protests will impact on tourism.

I have one thing to say to the people of Grimston – having seen this part of the world it strikes me you have very few tourists to lose in the first place and it would be more prudent to worry about how animal experiments hamper human medicine and genuine progress.
