The writing's on the wall at Hull Truck Theatre – as a new exhibition aims to highlight the wealth of hidden talent across the East Riding.

The work of 10 local authors is being displayed on the walls of the Ferensway theatre in a bid to expose their writing to a wider audience.

Hull Truck's Richard Sutherland, who has curated the exhibition called The Writing On The Wall, says he hopes it will be the first of many, bringing attention to Hull's many unheralded authors.

Examples of the authors' work will be displayed on Hull Truck's foyer walls until Tuesday, June 1.
