“Surely this is not tombstoning. Children can jump from this height without harm, they do it every day into swimming pools. It's like saying they should not be allowed to jump off their bed and calling the police to stop them if they do. Tombstoning is quite different: "The practice of jumping into the sea or similar body of water from a cliff or other high point such that the jumper enters the water vertically straight, like a tombstone." http://tinyurl.com/cnxcv8r”

“Like Mark I was doing this albeit 40 years ago. I also climbed trees, built a swing across Holderness Drain, rode down steep hills on hand made carts (bogies) and genrally had a very adventurous young life. I went on to sking, rock climbing, diving, and parachute jumping. I'm still going stong and having a great life. I'm really glad that health and safety and dogooders hadn't been invented when I was a kid”
