Zingari trio bag invites
THREE of Hull Zingari Cricket Club's most promising juniors have been invited onto Yorkshire Cricket Board's (YCB) Pathways to Excellence scheme at St Mary's Sports Academy in Hull.
Harry Tyson, Tom Jones and Thomas Elstone have been picked for the scheme, which is run by the YCB and incorporates the Yorkshire County Cricket Club's coaching, YCB Centre of Excellence and the County Schools coaching as one unified programme.

All three players are batsmen, Harry is also a promising wicket-keeper, and they are all pupils at Hymers College.
The trio all represented East Yorkshire Lord's Taverners last summer on the back of exceptional club seasons last year at Zingari.
Elstone, 11, was part of the under-11 side which won the East Yorkshire Cup and he topped the batting averages with 186 runs at an average of 62, scoring his first 50 for the club in the process.
Jones, 13, was the under-13s player of the year, won the Michael and Pat Johnson Trophy for the outstanding club under-14 player and scored 242 runs during the last campaign.
Tyson, meanwhile, was team manager Mark Thompson's player of the season and he topped the under-13 averages, hitting 173 runs for an average of 43. He also made two catches and two stumpings behind the timbers as a wicket-keeper.
In further good news for the club, who are helping to put on free cricket sessions over the next 10 weeks in the city by providing coaches for two-hour training sessions at Costello Stadium, they also had 10 of their junior stars invited onto the East Yorkshire Cricket development coaching scheme at St Mary's Sports Academy.
James and Adam Palmer, Jonny Cowing, Jordan Weatherill , Jack Gillingwater, Max Caplin, Morgan Faulkner, Matthew Jessop, Kurtis Atkinson and Josh Leeman have all been given honours.
Indoor nets start at Hymers College on Thursday, February 4, with boys and girls 9nine to 14 from 6.15pm to 8pm and seniors and over-15s from 7pm to 8.45pm.
New players will be made welcome at Hull's longest-established cricket club and more details can be obtained by ringing Steve on 447568 or Ron on 571205, or by visiting www.hullzingari.play-cricket.com.
