Firefighters were called to tackle a blaze at Hull's former main ambulance station.

Humberside Fire and Rescue Service was contacted about the fire at the former Yorkshire Ambulance Service station in Osborne Street at 2.44pm yesterday.

Crews fought the flames from an aerial platform.

As the Mail went to press, it was not known how the fire started.

The Hull Central station was closed three years ago.
