Fallen heroes

The Fallen Heroes pictured below represent the tragic human cost of the British Forces campaign in Afghanistan since October 2001 and the conflict in Iraq since March 2003.

Among the soldiers killed in Iraq are servicemen from Hull and East Riding who include 41-year-old Master Engineer Gary Nicholson, who died in January, 2005. Lance Corporal Alan Brackenbury, Sergeant Jonathan Hollingsworth, and Private Luke Daniel Simpson also died.
