The cost of cleaning up
NATIONALLY, waste is fly-tipped and reported every 35 seconds.
That represents more than 250,000 black bags of rubbish being dumped illegally a year.
Each bag is estimated to cost councils in England and Wales £40 to remove and dispose of.
In Hull, the council says most fly-tipping cases are deliberate acts of rubbish-dumping by individuals and rogue traders.
