“Stag chilli,
Did you watch question time last night? There is not a single mainstream politician that would dare speak out against immigration. We have a massive problem that will increase next year, Cameron will never call a referendum and we will continue to pay in to Europe. People are too frightened to speak out for fear of being labelled racist, it is not a race issue, quite simply the infrastructure can no longer cope. Hull needs jobs for local people, better education and training and and Brady out of HCC.”

“I'm currently working in a new building in Hull that was built by immigrant workers and it is shoddy. I don't blame them because they were working for peanuts and the plans they were working to (drawn up by white Englanders) were pants and they had no reason to care about the work they were doing because they were working for peanuts.
As a result, the building doesn't work. Walls aren't straight. The floor isn't flat. Bolts are missing. But you can't blame the builders because why should they care? The poor effers are probably living in cramped accommodation (owned by unscrupulous landlords who just pack 'em in)The architects clearly didn't care so why should should the cheap builders who have no investment or loyalty to this city care about the work? They get paid the minimum so they give the minimum.”

“I scaffolded the apartments in hull down albion street what used to be oasis night club a few years ago, some of the things the polish and lithuanians got away with before any building inspector could inspect the work was shocking. Very little english was spoken and their was a definate atmosphere between us english and them, one other thing they found acceptable was to butcher the scaffolding by cutting sections away and taking ties out to stop the scaffold falling over. My boss at the time never acted on this and so nothing was done,so it carried on until the end of the job.
The amount of foriegn food shops popping up all over the place is alarming and i notice the same with foriegn barbe shops ,(one shop on spring bank had a sign on the door saying "no whites" ,i had seen it with my own eyes.) You try doing that and your brended rascist they do it with no come back.
Have you noticed all this grooming girls for sex and by gangs is all foriegners, in hull we have had bogus taxi drivers assaulting women. Dont you think their is a trend developing here.
My personnal view is that any foriegner caught doing any crime be it carrying a knife to assault and any thing inbetween should be deported without question, maybe this would make them think i bit more before doing any wrong.”

“I dont blame anyone for wanting a better life and If I percieved that there was a better life for my family especially a better future for my little boy, free from extreme danger I hope I would be brave enough to risk a move.
I cant imagine arriving into a hostile community after a tiring and dangerous journey. I would rather support someone who wants to be an active part of Great Britain, than a career benefit scrounger. However anyone who does not accept / breaks our laws or burns our flag should be deported immediately.
I also feel that there should be a limit on benefits accessible until they have made enough financial contribution. Eg NHS restricted to emergency (life or death) care only and food vouchers until they are working and can support themselves.”

“When we had the floods in 2007, the school my daughter works in was badly hit. The sewers had backed up and it was a serious health hazard.
The council sent a gang of workmen to start the clean up as early as possible. They were all Polish immigrants who could speak very little if any english and were sent with no protective clothing whatsoever, not even rubber gloves.
I think in a lot of cases these people are being exploited by others on every level.”

“StagChilli, I always enjoy your input (as of course I do you all) but one mustn't really invest too much thought into these surveys and lists. For goodness sake, Hull was once listed as the worst place to live in the UK. We all know what total bullwash that statement is!
Mind you, if them Euromills come in i might try South Wales (or Fiji).”
“Apparently Hull is one of the worst if not the worst place in the UK to find work at least 55 applicants per job ?
Should we adopt a policy of Hot Spots ? When an area is identified as an Hot Spot for unemployment should we stop immigration and impose border controls (even if that goes against EU policy) so that our local population can obtain work and in some of cases come of benefits. We have seen manufacturing since 2008 butchered once again and now the retail sector seems to be taking a similar hit the along with the High street.”
