March 16th 1st test commences at 10am
Aim is to get people to attempt the Army's Personal Fitness Assessment (PFA)
It will be run at East Park starting at 10am until 3pm and aim to run 2 tests per hour.
Full test involves 3 parts
best effort Press ups in 2 minutes
best effort sit ups in 2 mins
best effort 1.5 mile run
Entry costs will be £5 (suggested, more or less if you wish)
PER PERSON
You can run as many tests as you can during the day.
Also each runner will be and added to the facebook page to show they took part and gave to a very worthy cause.
(*Scores and names will be published only if you want, btw)
There are 4 entry levels,
1.Fun/Recruit: which is to do the run only.
2.Test Level: Means you do all 3 parts of the test to measure against the Army's standards. A board will be on display to measure how your score compares,
3.There also a board to see if you would score enough to qualify for the very tough and coveted '300 club'
and Finally ..
4. The Max test: Which is to attempt as many pass’s as you can up to a maximum of 6 tests.
If you Pass the first test, step up and do the next...and next..Until you fail.
All points scored will be added up to give a top performer on the day.
Test start times will be every half hour. Starting at 1000hrs and you will need to book in before each test. Booking in will be available from just after 9am”
