“I have used something similiar to what you are talking about, without instructors though, and it was great fun. The various bits of training equipment really break up the monotany of running.

In Hull I would expect the main problem would be vandalism, keeping the route safe and getting people to use it in the first place.”

“I would like to be able to access East park before I go to work - in the summer you have no chance if you want to jog at 6am - the gates should be left open and the park accessible”

“Why do you need a fitness trainer for a trim trail ? Sounds like an excuse for the council to fund out of work personal trainers”

    “jz

It always used to be open at Malet Lambert and Westminster Avenue - then someone raised money for extra facilities for kids and they decided to build those fences instead. No other park in Hull is locked at night”

“"Why do you need a fitness trainer for a trim trail ?
yes to generate some work for trainers, maybe an hour a day with a class of people could work wonders for those people who need help with better technique, breathing and all the other issues and novice may have. The council, NHS and lots of other bodies are keen to fund all sorts of activities at the minute to help get people more active.
I am currently working with colleges and healthy hearts to teach kids how to overcome basic things such as breathing better and learning its ok to stop or do an exercise regressively until they can do it properly, a bit of moral coaching can change a life , literally and save the NHS millions if that person takes up and continues on a healthier path. Plus not all people want to take part in a sport to keep fit and simply want to exercise..
So tpo match up a good trainer and pay them say £30 for an hour and a bit to teach 15 or more people is value for money.
people could pay a couple of quid subs, after the council/NHS incentive get it going by paying the trainer and signposting people to it..as healthy hearts is doing and lots of other sports trusts..
    win win i think”
