“Well it obviously involves people who appear in the press regularly - who are celebrities, politicians and the rich. The press are hardly going to investigate ordinary members of the public are they?”

Control of the Press was and still is is in some countries, a top priority of Communist regimes.” -

“Isn't all this hoo-hah about press regulation mainly because celebrities politicians and the rich are worried that their unsavoury pastimes are made public? Would the same fuss be made if the victims were just ordinary members of the public? There is no doubt that there should be some body with clout to regulate the media, not just the press but isn't legislation and Royal Warrants, etc. over the top?”
