    “Coincidence or what.
Mine has chewed through several cables today including the fridge. I'm afraid with mine though it may be the beginning of the end, and her other health problems are leaving her mentally unwell:(”

“I have had cats who decided to use an expensive, cream wool rug as a litter tray and rip down the wallpaper next to the litter tray in an attempt to rake over their litter.

When I got my dog he was a bit daft and one day I took him for a walk on Pelican Fields. He ran over to some teenagers sitting on the grass and jumped on them sending them all off screaming. He then grabbed a cone that someone was using as a makepiece goalpost and ran off with that then saw a little girl with a wheelbarrow collecting sticks and stole some of them. She ran after him throwing the rest of the sticks at him, but I think she was trying to give him them rather than hit him with them. Then on the way out he saw the teenagers again and jumped on them. I was so stressed out by the end of the walk.

But the worst thing was probably when I had a house rabbit and it chewed through the cable of my burglar alarm. It went off in the middle of the night and I had no idea why and couldn't stop it even when I switched off the electricity. I ended up having to unscrew the unit and remove the battery and it's still in the same state.”

“When my eldest dog was pup I came home and thought I`d been burgled. I caught a glimps of the mess through the window and didn`t know whether or not to call for back up.
All the cushions off the suite were on the floor, the bin had been overturned, a corner unit with a plant on was tipped over so there was mud everywhere and that was just the living room.
Once I got in and looked around she`d chewed the spines on every book on the bottom shelf of the book case and chewed a big hole in the door jamb.

She`d never done anything like it before and has never done since. I think she just thought she`d take advantage and have a bit of a party.”

“After moving home some years ago my black Lab was a bit unsettled, I didn't realise how much so until we returned home one afternoon and discovered he had chewed his way through a whole sofa.it was totally out of character so we forgave him, he never got the opportunity to have the run of the house again though.”

“Thinking about it, this was probably worse.

When I got my dog he was a bag of bones and had a damaged back leg. He was booked in for an operation but I had to put it back a week. On the Friday before the new date one of my cats staggered in at 10pm. I picked her up and there was blood on her back where she had been bitten.

I took her to the out of hours vet at the cost of £200 plus and then to my own vet the next day. She lost the will to live and had to go on a drip and all in all it cost me £500 to get her sorted but if one of the vets had had her way it would have been a lot more as she wanted to do a lot of unnecessary tests. That was the same week as the dog's operation which also cost £500 plus. Afterwards I saw the dog bending over my other cat and trying to pick her up by grabbing her by her back which confirmed that he had caused the bite.

So all in all he cost me over £1,000 that week.

Luckily the cat did survive, thanks to the wisdom of another vet who I always ask to see now, though she died earlier this year aged 16. The dog's operation was a great success and no one (apart from me) would be able to tell that he ever had a problem with it.”

“Our big dog is a rescue dog and you could of played a tune on her ribs when we got her. The first time we had left her she emptied the Kitchen bin and everything in it that wasnt metal, took a pack of cadburys 7 flakes and aye everyone and top it all pinched a full 12 inch square birthday cake that belonged to the mother in law and atethe lot except for the ribbon and candles that were scattered around her lol. My husband filmed what she had done whilst telling her off and then played it back to her on the tv and she has never touched a thing since but she is about 3 stone heavier now!”

“Its funny how they do all this boisterous behaviour when we are not in.

My dog seems really chilled out , but as soon as he is left on his own he creates mayhem. Its like they just 'know'

How they get away with munching on electric cables… just eating a kit kat and with bit of the foil is shocking enough”

    “bt13jz,
Our current dog a terrier, is very intelligent and very naughty (if allowed) we were told by a builder who was working on our home that she was very restless when we were out and that she was guarding the property ferociously!
Our daughter was home for the weekend and decided to test the theory she set up a web cam whilst we were out for a couple of hours. We returned home and played back the footage to discover she had slept almost solidly for the whole time. How very disappointing!”

missfoodlove I imagine she hacked into webcam and put a still image there. I bet she got up to all sorts really”
