I've just seen a piece on the BBC news site that may interest you and give you something to do on these long dark nights.
A bunch of enthusiasts around the world are getting together on-line and in the flesh to build a full scale replica model of the Millennium Falcon from Star Wars.
The leader of the project has bought 88 acres of land to build it on!!
They interviewed a guy called Greg Dietrich who is one of the model builders (and single, would you believe) who is building the laser cannons!
So just think bt, if you chose to get involved you could be Chewbacca on a weekend if you don't bother with the Veet and you might be able to get Greg Dietrich to drop G69 or Pippa a line and get them fixed up.
