“I had trouble sleeping when the money troubles were getting the better of me. I've found two ways that make me sleep pretty quickly. When you go to bed try and put all your worries to the back of your mind (works with practice). Now, try and think of something that really made you feel happiest in your life. Could be the memory of a happy event or a person that you have in high esteem. Try and keep that in the forefront and relax your mind to everything else. That works for me.
The second is tricky. Still trying to keep your mind free of worries and on a quiet plain if you will, try and imagine someone saying something to you, someone you know, perhaps a distant partner or relative. Try and pick out words they might say, a phrase they might use. Keeping relaxed, try and push away every other thought and keep these things in the forefront. Once again, with practice you might find it works.”

“I chuckled at clem's and marie1's comments. i remember reading a joke in Hullabaloo (rag magazine). Something along the lines of 'The young private who's Army kit fitted him perfectly. He was discharged immediately of course. The Army can't use you if you're deformed'. Always raises a chuckle at after-dinner speeches.”
“If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
I know this could cause arguments so it can only be a comment about yourself, not other posters!”
