“Out obviously.
The idea behind the EU is great - for the rest of Europe - but not for us.
Anyway, when we voted to go in it was simply a trading agreement. Nothing about European Courts and their crazy human rights (that only the UK follows anyway). Nothing about allowing thousands of Eastern European's arrive on our shores and start using our NHS and claiming benefits including family allowance for children who may or may not exist back in their own countries at UK rates.
I have some vey good friends who are from Eastern Europe but even they despise their fellow country men.
Oh and I don't for a minute believe that Cameron will hold a referendum on leaving the EU. It is a cynical ploy to try and get people to vote him back into office because of the rise in support for UKIP.”

“Since we discussed leaving Europe the value of the pound inflated against the Euro.
I am dreading more countries joining the Eu. I can understand why people migrate to uk from other countries as everyone has a dream but it just feels like more people are climbing onboard a sinking ship, stripping it and waiting for it to sink.
I worry about the future for my son. Personally I like to rebel and I hate to be told what to do y people who don't adhere themselves ... but I am scared we are going to be frozen out”

“I would like to see independent marketing materials be published which explains he pros and cons and allows people to make an informed choices.
So many times we hear people say I don't vote they are all the same - I don't know what I am voting for..
if we combine elections and and referendum at the same time it would be a cost saving .. bet we don't though!”

“Gone are the days when the main political parties held dramatically different views and gone are the days (if they ever existed) when they kept their election promises when they are elected.
When I was growing up we were all interested in politics and held strong views, even if they were wrong. Nowadays people are more interested in who won Strictly or I'm a Celebrity than the General Election and if anyone takes to the streets to demonstrate on issues they feel strongly about, they are vilified by the press and the majority of the public.”

“Strange isn't it that it is often, especially on BBC TV, politicians make out that there is a majority for staying in the EU. Unfortunately it is often the case that a lot of the public are unaware of the true facts and just like the sound of being in a 'club' with other countries.
I'm old enough to remember the EFTA in which mainly the Northern Europe and Scandinavian joined to promote free trade. But countries like Germany and France didn't like the idea because they had the agenda for being the leaders in what they then set up as the Common Market. The founders of the EC are on record as saying that this was only the beginning but that care must be taken to carefully and stealthily introduce controls which would finally achieve a United States of Europe. Something that two world wars had failed to do. They have gone a long way to achieving their aim and the time has come to stop them getting any further.”

“Think this move by Mr Cameroon on having a referendum has had the effect on catching Millepede on the hop. Not being a tory voter i can understand his intention. Hes hoping euro sceptics in the government who where intent on backing UKIP come back into the fold leaving anti EU labour MPs obviously not following the Labour whip and going over to UKIP.
I myself is all in favour of a referendum, having voted No in 1975 and still against what is going on with the corrupt policies of the EU, but i,m afraid to say the British public will not have the bottle or gumption to go it alone and will as in the previous vote be sucked in with propaganda and falsehoods created by those with their own agendas and MEPs on the gravy train.”

“Really young
The crazy human rights as you call them was established in 1948 long before the EEC. It was pushed by the UK and it is there to protect the individual from the all powerful state.
We abided by the Human Rights court but had to traipse all the way to ?
Brussels for justice.
All we have done is incoperate it into UK legislation. If we get rid of it, e
Where will we go to take on the powerful who take advantage of the weak”

“Marmadukelad
Yes and criminals serving life will no longer be able to insist it's their human rights to get artificial insemination for their partners and foreign murderers and rapists will no longer be able to claim the right to a family life to stay in the UK once they are released from prison because they have a child (that they never see) from a former relationship.
And a whole layer of solicitors and barristers (including Cherie Blair) will lose a very lucrative source of income.”

“I see the Scots are all for the EU, according to Nicola Sturgeon of the SNP. Apparently she has written to EU Commissioners saying 'Scotland remains committed to the EU'. Of course she thinks that, as she does re their own referendum on independence. But how many Scots will agree with her? If independence happens, they will lose the subsidies they get from the English taxpayers and have to pay their own way for EU membership. We would at least reduce the number of MPs in our own Parliament and have non- Scottish MPs debating and deciding on English matters.
I wonder if people were asked what matters most to them in their lives and if they realised how their list of priorities is affected by the EU? Many would probably put food jobs and housing high on their list. As far as food is concerned, EU regulations have distorted the food chain with such things as the shape of bananas, resulting in enormous amounts of wasted 'ugly' food. Immigration has had a drastic effect on available housing. In Hull particularly, the loss of control on fishing to the advantage of others has completely destroyed one of our main industries.”
“If we do finally get a chance to vote on being a member of the European Union. Would you vote to stay in or get out and why ?”
