My point is, he wants 'birds' to stay at home and not work. Nothing was said about 'working mums' until you came in with that.

My response would be the same had he used the words 'ladies', 'women' or 'females'. The country would grind to a halt, few schools would survive and - most importantly - my dental practice would close down.

Maybe it was an option in your Utopian 1950s days of mothers in frilly aprons cooking nourishing meals for hubby and the kiddies and then getting themselves tidied up for when he arrives home tired from work, sitting him down in his chair bringing him his slippers his pipe - but the world has moved on and no matter how many times you post on here about it, mothers are going to carry on working.

This post encapsualtes pippa_1951's whole attitude to life.

She tells everyone that they are being grossly insulting to her, while being grossly insulting to everyone else. And she always makes the first grossly insulting comment.

She hasn't got an original thought in her head. Another poster (who I argued with about fox hunting on a news story) tells me that I have no business to post on a forum that he has just joined and I have been posting on for weeks, and she COPIES him. But she has to be just that much ruder.

She tells me to BUTT OUT after addressing almost every one of her posts to me and stamping her size 8 boots on the floor when I try and ignore her.

Of course, that may be because she can't think of an answer to any of my above comments. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
