“Wozza,
I think that is an excellent idea, particularly for some of the lowlife that should have been swinging on the end of a rope instead of costing the taxpayer millions of pounds.
However, prisoners have rights and they are quick to demand them once in custody, which is quite ironic as the majority of them don't give a flying duck about other people's right to live their lives without being assaulted, burgled, robbed, raped etc.”

Course you can have fun at any age, but Wozza is a different matter altogether, he makes no effort with anything and comes across like a child, how can he be taken seriously when he makes no effort what so ever to at least improve his typing, i stand by what i've always thought of him, and that he's a complete and utter muppet.
if you like befriend him.”

“I don't judge someone by how well they spell, and what punctuation they use, and I don't understand some posters obsession with pointing out mistakes. I myself am a terrible speller, yet I am not stupid, I have O levels and a degree, but I wouldn't describe myself as clever either. I have lived and experienced a lot in life, and as I get older I pride myself on still being as playful and fun-loving as I was as a child. I would never dream of telling someone to "act their age", and just because I might stick up for someone on one occasion does not make them my friend. I don't tell people how to lead their lives, and in exchange I expect others not to tell me how to lead mine. I don't feel the need to post a comment in every story on here, or feel the need to attack anyone with a different viewpoint to mine.”

You ddin't actually mention COMPUTERS IN THE WORKPLACE though did you?
As for women stayiing at home, your grasp of history is probably as poor as your grasp if literacy. Women have always worked. They worked in the fields, in factories, in mines ... In the First World War women were expected to take over the jobs of the men who had gone to the Front and that's why the government could no longer deny them the vote.
And of course women worked as maids and cooks and housekeepers when you only had to have a job in a bank to be able to afford domestic help.
This is a link to get you started and I'm sure that you can continue your own research from there.

If all women stayed at home then the economy would grind to a halt. The vast majority of teachers and nurses are female for a start. In the dental practice that I use for instance every dentist, nurse and receptionist is female. There are very few male teachers in primary schools and nurseries - would you close them all down? Can you imagine men queuing up to train to be nursey nurses? There is nothing stopping them now, they just don't want to.
Did you read that web site that I pointed you to?”

Half the time the men are staying at home and sending their 'birds' out to work. They won't be too happy with your idea.

You don't like it when we laugh at your posts, but when we take them seriously and try and discuss them with you, you don't like that either.
But I'll happily go back to the kitchen sink if you provide me with the money I am currently earning ... after all, your journeys to Qatar must earn you a pretty packet.”
Sunday, January 29 2012, 7:42PM
“Wozza, I will play the Devils advocate here. IMO, Equality is paramount and I am a committed activist with regard to this. Therefore, I will ask a few serious but pertinent questions with regard to 'birds' (and in your book)their superiors.
If a widowed woman wishes to work and does not wish to claim benefits, should this be allowed?
Should a single man be forced to work if he wishes to look after his children? Would he be able to claim benefit?
In a Civil Partnership where two men live together, how would you deal with this situation? Should both men work work?
Moving on a bit, if two women live together in a Civil Partnership, should neither work when they wish to?
I await your reply with interest.”

“Imagine_that, you posted:

What about a 'spinster'?"
My apologies, please consider my questions to Wozza suitably modified.
Are you playing Devil's Advocate with me now? I wonder if Wozza dare answer these questions. Will he duck them as he does when it gets down to the 'nitty gritty'?”
Sunday, January 29 2012, 10:26PM
“wozza, I'm not sure the maths of your suggestion adds up.
Example - Family with husband on £25,000 p/a and wife on £20,000 p/a with two kids. Not massively wealthy, but doing fine for themselves. Wife suddenly gives up her job so that an unemployed man can have it. That family now has the same expenses (except childcare) but are £20,000 poorer. How will that shortfall be covered? Are they suddenly expected to get a much smaller house? Does the husband get a £20,000 pay rise? Do we cover it in benefits?
Also, there have been many recessions in the past with mass unemployment. Times when many women DID stay at home.
It's an interesting solution, but as ever, it's a bit more complicated than that.”
Monday, January 30 2012, 8:01AM
“Apollo
Years ago when women got paid considerably less money for doing the same job often their only option was to get married and parents and teachers often thought it was a waste of time to educate girls to any standard above domestic science and typing because they were only going to get married and have a family (in that order).
Nowadays when many of top jobs are held by women they don't have to get married or live with a partner unless they really want to. I think it's known as 'progress'. Wozza wants to take us back into the Dark Ages, but then he is a dinosaur.
And of course he won't dare answer these questions even though we are treating his question with respect. Something that pippa_mia (or was it cara_1951) said we didn't do.”

Well I wondered in the beginning, but now I realise that when he posts forums like "its christmas' in November and 'sunday is a day of rest' he is hardly setting baits. He is just trying to set a record for the most people responding to him.
Pity that it will never happen after the Simon Mason story.
You have commented on various news stories on here so you know that there is an awful lot of abuse thrown about. The replies that wozza has got are nothing to what people like forest_whatever, poodledoodle2 and darren921 (to name a few) have given to Simon Mason. I tried to defend him and just got loads of abuse plus pippa_1951 copying a nasty poem about me and Simon from that site onto one of wozza's forums. Don't you think that sort of behaviour is rude and intimidating?
And if wozza is some secret, super intelligent wind-up merchant trying to upset everyone - he is succeeding beyond his wildest dreams. And if you have a problem with this, maybe you should be telling him that he should stop making these provocative posts as you think he is doing it on purpose. PMSB.”

I don't have a problem with wozza using the word 'birds'.
My point is, he wants 'birds' to stay at home and not work. Nothing was said about 'working mums' until you came in with that.
My response would be the same had he used the words 'ladies', 'women' or 'females'. The country would grind to a halt, few schools would survive and - most importantly - my dental practice would close down.
Maybe it was an option in your Utopian 1950s days of mothers in frilly aprons cooking nourishing meals for hubby and the kiddies and then getting themselves tidied up for when he arrives home tired from work, sitting him down in his chair bringing him his slippers his pipe - but the world has moved on and no matter how many times you post on here about it, mothers are going to carry on working.

"Imagine_that As a few other posters have told you on here today BUTT OUT !!!"
This post encapsualtes pippa_1951's whole attitude to life.
She tells everyone that they are being grossly insulting to her, while being grossly insulting to everyone else. And she always makes the first grossly insulting comment.
She hasn't got an original thought in her head. Another poster (who I argued with about fox hunting on a news story) tells me that I have no business to post on a forum that he has just joined and I have been posting on for weeks, and she COPIES him. But she has to be just that much ruder.
She tells me to BUTT OUT after addressing almost every one of her posts to me and stamping her size 8 boots on the floor when I try and ignore her.
Of course, that may be because she can't think of an answer to any of my above comments. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
I wonder how many more grossly insulting insults she will hurl at the sensible posters and how many time she will be white with rage (no pippa_mia, I can't see you and I wouldn't want to - but I can easily imagine that) when one of us responds in kind.”
