“So when they asked if everything is OK why didn't you say 'I've had to wait half an hour and the food is cold ?'
If you don't give them feedback they will assume everything is OK
Sometimes you do have to wait for food if it's being prepared fresh but it should be hot when it arrives
I would certainly expect to be left in peace to enjoy my food”

“newlad, as much as i admire and love you like a brother, the fact that you have been tickled by one of my posings on here might now signify that you will be put through the mill by the virtuafamily ad-infinitum. I apologise profusely for the stick you may well receive. My advice, worry not one jot or iota.”

“What irks me about eating out is very much what you experienced, Missfoodlove. Waiting forever to be served, and getting lukewarm and unappetising food at the end of it. I usually go and write an honest review on Trip Advisor, whether good or bad. My dining out experiences have been mostly good in this city, I have to say. I have only had one awful meal at a venue I shall never set foot into again.”

“I will not name and shame as we all have bad days, but it is rare that any waiting staff bring the condiments before the food, I have never understood why?
In a recession resteraunters should be bending over backwards to give good quality and service, it really isn't happening.”
“At a local restaurant yesterday evening, we waited about 30 minutes for our main course, when it eventually came we asked for the required condiments, mustard, dressing etc, this took another 5 minutes. When we eventually started to eat our lukewarm food we had an army of staff asking us if everything was O.K. I wanted to scream.
The relevant condiments should be presented before the food and diners should be left to eat and talk in peace.
Do I expect too much? What irks you about eating out?”
