A disgusting decision to close library

I WOULD like to share my disgust at the proposed closure of the Anlaby Park Library by this Labour-run council.

It is a library that is regularly used by local residents and provides an excellent service in a key location.

It further disappoints me to learn that, while this fantastic library is facing closure, another library at the former Isaac Newton School, located deep in Marfleet ward, is facing further investment to improve facilities.

This is typical of the local Labour-run council to only invest in areas where they have council representation and where in an election they won't lose votes.

The library at Anlaby Park happens to be an area where Labour do not have councillors so this clearly shows a prime example of the local Labour party only supporting areas where their vote is.

It is appalling and I hope the council reverses this decision and keeps open this valuable library, which offers a great service to the local residents.

One nation is a long way off when they cannot even represent one city.
