Stuart's shrine to City hero Windass
Stuart Everade has shunned pub prices by building his own drinking hole in his garden shed.
The dowdy outhouse has been transformed into a holy shrine to the two loves of his life – his beloved football team and Formula One.
The 40-year-old has spent thousands of pounds on The Damon Hill Arms, in Hornsea.
It features Deanos Bar, named after legendary former Tigers striker Dean Windass.
With chilled bitter and lager on tap, the father-of-two said he has saved a fortune by drinking in despite the initial cost.
He said: "I have spent a few thousand decking it out, and a couple of thousand more on sports memorabilia over the years.
"But if you're out with 10 or so friends, a round can be pretty expensive.
"This just goes to show that staying in is the new going out."
The six-metre by two-and-half metre pub, with a racing inspired black-and-white checkered floor, is adorned with neon lights, collectors' toy cars and autographed prints and T-shirts.
It features an 32 inch LCD TV with satellite, Sony Playstation 2, sound system, a dart board and outside there is a decked seating and BBQ area.
Mr Everade has been a life-long Tigers supporter and said naming the bar after Windass was a natural choice.
He said: "I never miss a home game and I travel to many away games.
"Dean Windass is a Hull City legend – what he did at Wembley to secure us Premiership status went down in history."
Windass has always been a fans' favourite, but was propelled to legendary status when he scored the only goal of the 2008 Football League Championship playoff final to take City to the top flight for the first time in their history.
Many supporters rate his strike in the match against Bristol City at Wembley as their greatest football memory.
The pub has provided the perfect venue for a number of social get togethers for the family, including Mr Everade's 40th birthday and his daughter Jessica's 15th birthday, as well as Boxing Day.
Mr Everade, who owns engineering company Everquip in Giberdyke, has hosted parties at The Damon Arms with around 50 friends and family members.
He added: "My family love it, we're really sociable people and it's great for us to all get together.
"I can't take all the credit as it was my friend and excellent craftsman Mike Garner who built the shed and decking from start to finish so a big thank you to him."
A spokesperson for Hull City said: "We know we have some of the most passionate fans in the country and this gentleman goes some way towards proving that."
