There are 273 flood alerts in England and Wales and more than 220 other flood warnings in place across England, which mean people should take action because flooding is expected.

Flooding is affecting parts of North Yorkshire, with several roads closed across the county.

National Rail said many train services were also disrupted by flooding and landslips.
