The loss of the city's Carers' Centre would devastate so many
I READ with dismay, the article in the Mail (June 22) about the risk to the Carers' Centre in Hull of being axed.
I beg all of the Hull city councillors to seriously think of the disastrous results if this was to happen.

AT RISK: Carers' Centre manager Greg Harman.
The centre has been open since 1999 and I have been a regular volunteer since.
I know the importance of the centre and I know what an effect it will have on all the carers who depend on the support they receive from the centre.

It would devastate so many people.
Carers have enough problems and heartaches to contend with without all this to worry about.
The trained and experienced staff at the centre have all worked so hard and given tremendous support to everyone, it just doesn't seem fair to let this happen after 13 years' hard work and dedication that has gone into building this into a successful centre.
No one knows more than I do what it is like to be a carer in need of support at crucial times.
Please reconsider your actions before it is too late
Joan Hay, Bilton Grange.
