Shanice, of east Hull, said: "I feel amazing. I feel a lot lighter. I don't feel tired any more and I feel really refreshed.

"A lot of people have sponsored me per stone and that's giving me the incentive to lose more than 6st to raise more money.

"I would like to raise more than £5,000 to help towards another couple's treatment if possible. The support has been incredible."

Shanice, a personal assistant at a residential home, has two sessions with personal trainer James Brereton, of JPB Personal Training in Hull city centre, every week.

She pays a reduced price of £10 per session and has chosen to donate the £28 saved each week to her running total for sponsorship.

She also works out in a gym as many times as possible each week, sometimes twice a day, and follows a healthy eating plan provided by James.

During the first month of the challenge, Shanice lost 21lbs and lost 1.61 per cent body fat, as well as 11cm from her waist, 11cm from her chest and 4.5cm from her thighs. The second month saw her lose another 6.5cm from her waist, 2cm from her arms, 4cm from her chest and 5cm from her hips.

Shanice said: "Without James, there is no way I would be doing this. I have called him at 10pm before because I wasn't sure if I could have some lemon dressing.

"He's been incredible and keeps me going every day."

Shanice will help to pick the couple after she has raised the money and has already had a meeting with health officials at the Hull IVF Unit.

She said she would like to choose people who do not already have children, have had IVF once or twice and have been unsuccessful so far but stand a good chance of becoming pregnant.

Shanice has raised about £3,000 so far.

She is planning a charity night a sponsored midnight walk to raise extra funds.

    “"BSandra:-
What a sad person you are, somone tries to do a little good and you snipe, bet you are a real Billy No Mates."

What on earth do you mean?
Not eating after 6 pm is a great advice. Taking long fast walks after 6 is even better.
And Ms Bulman, once you start noticing that women around you begin acting resentful towards you, it is a sign you are doing great! A hot young woman cannot have female friends. Ditch them. Good luck!!!!”

"Ms Bulman, if you would like to lose weight, do not eat after 18.00.'

Utter garbage, it doesn't matter what time you eat. As long as you are eating less calories than you are burning you will lose weight. You could eat your entire calorie allowance in Mars Bars at midnight and you'd still lose weight, you wouldn't be very healthy though.

Good on this girl for doing something to improve her long-term health and fitness and help other people!”

“You go girl! helping others aswell as yourself. If you carry on like this you may find you lose more than you intended to - but that also means more sponsorship money :). Good luck and best wishes to you and whoever is lucky enough to be chosen to recieve the money for IVF.

HDM - You could have used a current pic!

BSandra - Don't be horrible, at least shes doing something nice, unlike you who seems to want guttersnipe. Grow up.”
