TO mark Valentine's Day, The Deep is holding a series of events about how its residents mate.

There will be a range of events for children of all ages to enjoy, including the "love trail", where you will discover some of the more quirky ways the animals mate, including blue poison arrow frogs, sharks and the praying mantis.

Families will also be able to try their hand at badge making in the Explorers' Den from 11am to 4pm all week or join a family workshop at 12.30pm, which looks at how animals find their perfect partner.

Colin Brown, chief executive at The Deep, hopes to attract a bumper crowd during half-term.
