    “bazza_12,
The jammys, the ball n chain is his supervision he is not going to get very far without them now is he!! Plus you have the good old tax paying people of Hull to keep an added eye on this clown.
As for somewhere to live a job a life maybe he should move in with you so as you can guide, help and teach him the in the error of his ways. Hell's Bell's you might be the love of his life he has been seeking.
Yes folk's the world is full of do gooders; I just wish they would go do it somewhere else.”

“I have seen a number of criminals sentenced to prison thanks to a previous job.

Not one of them punched the air and shouted "result"
Not one of them were happy about being put away.
They were almost all angry and resentful about it, even though they did the crime, especially if they thought that the evidence wasn't strong enough.

And as for why, mainly it's to buy drugs or just because they want more than they get from the benefit system. And they either think that the rest of us are the mugs for working or we are all as bad as them but they were just unlucky enough to be caught.”

“peterkins11 don't you think picking up cig butts with your teeth wearing a ball and chain in the city centre at -1 in January is a little extreme.. for stealing something worth £33! the jammys, the ball n chain, the supervision on him in the town centre will cost more than going to prison...

surely what needs to be addressed, (something you touched on but didn't develop) is why he committed the crime in the first place, is it because he needs security? somewhere to live? a job? a life? was he stealing for drugs? who knows.. but find the answer and you're half way to solving it.”

“So you think this guy is a muppet, hey what.. well i beg to differ.
This guy has got his self locked up for 16 weeks for stealing a misley £33.90 worth of **** that you could win at bingo.
So what did it get him you may ask. Well for the next 16 weeks (112 days at 30p a day) it got him a nice new set of clothes, a nice warm bed and three square meals a day plus as much Corry, Eastenders, Emmerdale and Simon Cowell as one can stand, hell with a bit of luck he might find the love of his life..
What he should be doing is walking around the Hull City Center dressed in a pair of striped jammy's with a ball and chain strapped to his ankle picking up all the cigarett butts and litter with his teeth.
Now that is the way to use the tax payers hard earned money.
So who's the muppet now you may ask?? Well Buddy it's the same old story, it's you and me.
Wishing all a happy new year...”

“Muppets are not villains they bring fun. A more suitable phrase would be antisocial villain.”
