Alex Pettyfer Tormented at school

Alex Pettyfer has revealed he was bullied at school.

The 17-year-old actor's latest film Tormented is a horror film with a strong anti-bullying message, which Alex said is something he relates to.

He said: "I got a little bit bullied after I did Tom Brown," adding: "But I left school when I got Stormbreaker ready for the world."

On the subject of the film, which is set in a school, he said: "Do you know what I find? That the females in the film are vile through mouth whereas males are vile through physical pain.

"When a guy bullies another guy, he'll hit him and push him around, whereas two girls will just be bitchy to each other and be thinking how they could make the other feel bad about themselves."

And though Alex said he enjoyed making the film, he admitted he was usually too scared to watch horror films.

"I like making horror but I'm not a big fan of watching it, it scares me too much. I mean I couldn't watch my film. I can't stand the blood. There were buckets of it," he said.
