Breaking news: Police given more time to question Goole murder suspect

Detectives have been granted further time to question a man arrested on suspicion of murdering Frank Garner and dumping his body in grassland near East Cowick, Goole.

The 30-year-old, also of Goole, was picked up by officers at about 10.30pm on Wednesday.

Mr Garner's body was found wrapped in bin bags in the verge of a lane off the A614 near East Cowick.

It is believed Mr Garner had lain undiscovered for three years.

A cause of death has not yet been established.

Magistrates in Beverley have allowed officers until around 11pm on Saturday to continue questioning the man.
