Demonstrators gathered in Hull city centre on Saturday to demand an immediate end to Israel's bombing of Gaza.

Members of Hull Green Party, Hull Stop The War and Hull Palestine Solidarity were in Queen Victoria Square, city centre from 11am.

They were inviting members of the public to join them in a show of strength to call for an end to the bombing.

The demonstration was one of 18 being held across the country with the biggest taking place in London.
