Karoo bans users for illegal downloads

People across the region are reportedly being cut off from the Internet for illegally downloading films and music.

Karoo has been terminating customers' Internet connections if they illegally download copy written material.

Karoo is believed to be the only Internet provider in the country to carry out this practice.

Other providers write to customers if they break the law.

Karoo is defending the move saying it is a "responsible approach" to protecting people from illegal activity.
