Young bookworms in Hull and the East Riding will enter a mad and magical world as they tumble down the rabbit hole into Alice's Adventures In Wonderland.

The classic tale is the seventh in the Mail's 25-week children's book promotion.

It is now available in hardback for just £2.99 with a Mail coupon.

Lewis Carroll's world famous story follows young Alice as she makes her way across a surreal world of mad hatters and talking flowers ruled by the Queen of Hearts.

Children from Eastfield Primary School, West Hull, shared their thoughts on the book.

Leanne Day, 10, of West Hull, gave it four out of five stars.

Summarising the story she said: "Alice falls down a rabbit hole and gets trapped in Wonderland and can't get out.

"When Alice is there she has foods that make her grow or go smaller.

"The setting of the story is in the Queen Of Heart's castle where Alice get an invitation to play croquet with the Queen.

"Alice thinks the Queen is a bit mad because she likes chopping people's heads off."
