“ Went to this restaurant for the 1st time this saturday evening, the menu was different from the usual choices, i had the crab starter which was lovely, the staff very attentive and obliging and even the owner introduced himself and asked if everything was ok with our meal which i thought was a lovely touch, we will defo be back trying one of there great priced monthly offers!! ”

Pleasent Surprise

“Had bought the groupon voucher without really doing any background history, because the deal was good. I am not usually one to write reviews but thought it was necessarcy to do so here.
From the outside, it is not visually appealing and although inside is an improvement, it does look a little bare and even just some photos on the wall, would make a big difference. However, it was very clean and even though it is small, they managed to have an atmosphere and loved that they were playing authentic music. The food was really really delicious! I had the chicken paneer, it was really tasty, lots of flavours. Chicken was well cooked, all very well presented. Naan and even popadoms at the beginning were tasty! Everything pipping hot. OH and the mint sauce! WOW. Staff were not wearing a uniform and to be honest looked really scruffy. Wondered why some stranger was clearing the table! Haha.But the food really was delicious.”

My apologies if you are not a native English speaker. These spelling points are meant to be helpful, not high-and-mighty rubbishing of the genuinely enthusiastic review you cooked up
delicasey = delicacy
vougue = vogue
complimented = complemented (on this occasion)
popadoms = poppadoms
mane = main (NOT a lion's mane)
poultry sum = paltry sum unless you were counting chickens!
un-pronounsably = Did you mean unpronounceabley? I don't think the word exists.”

Man, Go.

“Finally somebody has brought the delicasey of fresh Indian herbs and spices to Hull. We are not the most culinary gifted city in the country but even we should be ashamed of the generic, tedious flavours offered to us in the guise of Asian and pan-Asian cuisine. Mango may be lacking in decor (though minimalism is still en vougue, there is something 'lacking', possibly a few mirrors to give an illusion of a little more space), and the wine list is a little small (however the Italian Soave we tried was sweet and subtle and complimented the meal perfectly) but these two minor gripes do not detract from the fine cuisine that welcomes you. From the mint and banana yoghurt and freshly made lime pickle thaty accompanies the popadoms to crab masala starter to the un-pronounsably exquisite mains (for which I don not recall the mane though I suspect anything we would have ordered would be as good), every mouthful was a welcome addition to the meal. The flavours were fresh and vibrant and displayed a maturity in knowledge of texture and taste that is rarely displayed in restaurants of a similar ilk. My only actual complaint was the bill - We decided to use a voucher from this site and couldn't bring ourselves to use it as it would have made the price ridiculously low. It is my opinion that we should support local businesses (for fear of them going under) and as such I wouldn't have felt comfortable in undermining a terrific meal by paying such a poultry sum.
In short: Some of the best fresh Indian food we've ever eaten. Highly recommended”

“Just visited the Mango Lounge, welcoming staff, clean toilets and a pleasent atmosphere. The monthly deal of 3 course for £6.95pp was excellent value for money. Would definately recommend to all. Looking forward to our next visit.
