“ I have passed this place on a number of occasions en-route to the Country Park with the dog, so decided one evening to treat the better half. I was not disappointed. The service was excellent, attentive without being overbearing. The food was excellent and arrived in a very reasonable time, the menu has a decent range, and, unlike some other establishments I have rated, this one varies the menu. Although a little out of the way, I prefer to eat here over the Italian restaurants in the Avenues/Newland Avenue area. ”

“We visited on Saturday night. Lovely food, good atmosphere, reasonable price. One small complaint, the mussles in the seafood pasta were extremely small but still can't wait to visit again.”

“I am loathe to give this place a bad review, it's just that I want it to be better than it is. The food is very good but if we pay £20+ each for a piece of fish, I expect it to come with more than half a carrot and a few sprigs of broccoli between two diners. The service is good and the waiters are attentive but if it's very busy or there's a big party in, they are overstretched. I can recall a few times when our main courses haven't been served at the same time and once when we waited an hour for our starters to come. The place needs to up its game a bit as there is far more competition now that when it first opened. I will undoubtedly go back a I love the ambience but not as often as I would like as it is just not up to scratch. ”
