Hermione new face of Chanel?

Monday, June 16, 2008, 14:55

Emma Watson is apparently set to become the new face of Chanel's fragrance Coco Mademoiselle.

The actress, 18, who plays Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter films, has won a £3 million two-year contract with the French fashion house, reports the Daily Mirror.

She takes over from Edge Of Love star Keira Knightley, whose contract with Coco Mademoiselle ends this summer.

The newspaper claims that Emma joined modelling agency Storm in the hope of moving into other areas of showbiz.

A source reportedly said: "Emmas has been excitedly telling friends she is going to be taking over from Keira."

She became a household name when she was just nine years old, after landing the part of Hermione in the Potter films, based on the novels by JK Rowling.

She has since starred in all five films, alongside Daniel Radcliffe, Alan Rickman and Robbie Coltrane.
