Hull KR's new associate director Paul Luen
Now, he's been appointed onto the Rovers board to help deliver that dream to supporters just like him.
Luen, a local entrepreneur, has been amazed by how far the club has come in such a short space of time.
Having built up his own company – Martek Marine from a £6,000 start-up company into a £7m market leading global business, Luen is hoping he can achieve similar results with Rovers and their determined board.
"The great thing about this club is that there is passion amongst the management team and that continues to burn," Luen told the Mail.
"I look back to eight years ago, when I was one of the 800 or so in the east stand.
"Things weren't quite as they are at the moment and to look at the progression we have made since then on the field is phenomenal.
"Now we need to replicate that progression off the field too with the commercial activities.
"That's why I'm really excited to be joining such a forward-thinking, passionate and progressing board."
