Justin Morgan is hopeful for the new campaign
Rovers head into the new campaign with fans' expectations high following their fourth-place finish last season.
And Morgan says getting their hands on some silverware in 2010 is a realistic aim.
"Leeds are the benchmark, and I think there are six to eight teams that can win the competition. We are one of those teams, for sure," Morgan told the Mail.
"Our goal is to win a trophy – that is what we want to do. Success would be to win the Grand Final. That is the ultimate goal.
"We will have to play well, improve, and have a bit of luck, but why not us?"
Robins' impressive campaign ended in disappointing fashion with defeats at Leeds and then finally at home to Wigan in the play-offs last season.
But Morgan says his squad has buried those bad memories and is fully fired-up.
He said: "I don't think there is much of a hangover from last year.
"It has certainly spurred us on."
Asked about Hull FC's strong recruitment, Morgan said he was entirely focused on KR.
He said: "People have said to me it would be great for both teams to be in the finals, but I need to look after my team and I'll do my part to ensure we are there at the end of the season."
