PROFILE:

One of the jokers in the squad who has the ability to unlock the tightest of defences. Started his first season in Super League at stand-off but suffered a dip in form after a third of the season and was dropped shortly before the arrival of Paul Cooke. He worked hard on his game in training and came back big and stronger and surprised a lot of people by impressing at loose forward. Tipped to break into Tony Smith's England squad only for a shoulder injury to end his 2008 season early. Signed a new three-year deal with Rovers to keep him at the club until 2011.
