THERE have been a number of letters to this page arguing for and against whether the Prime Minister is or is not "spineless".

That's a matter of opinion. What I am concerned about is why he has gone back on his statement that "there will be no top-down reorgan- isation of the NHS" before the General Election, only to go hell-bent into a mass upheaval, against the views of the people who know best how to run it.

If the Lib Dems vote with the Tories, they may as well disband because they will not be forgiven.
