'Knock-on-athons'?: Hull KR's Greg Eden warns players will need to get a grip with 'terrible' new ball
NEW Hull KR full-back Greg Eden fears the new ball introduced for Super League this season will lead to increased handling errors.
The change, from the popular Steeden brand to the new Rhino ball, has already brought complaints from a number of players and clubs.

And having experienced the new ball for the first time in Sunday's 32-10 win over Wigan, Eden says it will take some time for players to get to grips with the change.
"The new Rhino ball is terrible, not many players are comfortable holding it, especially when it is wet as it is even worse," Eden told the Mail.

"It's difficult to get to grips with. The Steeden ball had extra grip, and I wish we could go back to it, otherwise we could have a knock-on fest. So far, I've not heard anyone say anything good about it, and it seems strange that the RFL have brought this new ball in without apparently testing it thoroughly."
Despite his dislike for the new ball, Eden had a solid game on his KR debut and showed good handling skills to catch all but one pass intended for him.
He has a second chance to get to grips with the new product this Sunday, as he lines up against Hull at the KC Stadium.
The former Huddersfield man admits he doesn't know what to expect when he gets his first taste of a Hull derby.
Almost 14,000 attended last season's pre-season friendly, which Rovers won 36-18.
Hull went on to win two of the three derbies when it mattered most in the league, and Eden says he is looking forward to experiencing one of Super League's most talked about clashes.
"I'm not sure what to expect from Sunday, but I've been told the atmosphere is something completely different to any other game we play," he said.
"I've also been told there is no such thing as a derby friendly, so it should be interesting.
"I've not experienced too much of the rivalry between the two sides yet, but I expect that will change by the weekend.
"I've watched the Hull derby on Sky and it sounds a great atmosphere to be involved with, so I can't wait to get out there."
If Eden plays the way he did against Wigan on Sunday, he'll have nothing to worry about.
He put in solid display to suggest he can fill the void left by Shannon McDonnell, who will line up for Hull this weekend, having crossed the city after just one season with the Robins.
Last weekend Eden only got 40 minutes of rugby under his belt as coach Craig Sandercock looked to give many young stars their chance.
But he is hoping for more time to impress the KR fans this weekend.
"I was just getting into the Wigan game when I came off at half-time, but I was pleased to get over for a try." he said
"I was pleased with my run out but still have a bit of improving to do."

“I like the bit when they asked him about the training down Pickering road.
He spent the next 5 minutes talking about Bishop Burton not realising
he had completely got it wrong.
Oh how the faithful laughed

“By the sounds of Mr Pearson tonight ..He seems very worried about the ongoing talks between Mr Allam and the City Council ..Maybe the spare Cow field at Bishop Burton may be an option for the Dullers New ground ..There seemed to be alot of negatives tonight at the Forum ?
The KC issues , the shortfall in Pass sales (don forget still need 14,500) per match , Seems Hull have given up on Brisco staying , pearson Did a fantastic job in convincing the fans he is staying ...lol.. Looks like the 2 seasons of brain washing has finally come to an end"”
