“ I'm a bit of a fan of Man v Food, the TV show that tracks down America's greatest burger joints and takeaways. So if Adam Richman was in Hull, I'd definitely tell him to try Hot Box's Southern fried chicken ciabatta sandwich, dripping in melting cheese, BBQ sauce and mayo. It's fast becoming a local legend. There's a range of breakfasts, pastries, jackets, even Yorkshire puds. Also worth a try are the hot carvery sandwiches - roast beef or pork served in a bread cake with thick pan gravy. Indulgent but delicious. Hot Box is friendly and flexible on the menu, and it's fast becoming my lunchtime favourite. On the evidence so far it definitely deserves five stars. ”
