“ construction: Double glazing firm EYG has been awarded the contract to glaze the new £10m Hull Trinity House Academy. The deal is part of £1.3m of commercial contracts secured by EYG last month, meaning the firm is in a strong position as they head into the new year. Trinity House is being relocated to the former University Of Lincoln site in George Street, having outgrown its previous home in Princes Dock Street. It forms part of the £400m Building Schools For The Future (BSF) programme, being delivered through the Esteem Consortium. EYG, which has been in business for more than 40 years, has been appointed to undertake the full glazing package, in a deal worth £270,000. Managing director Nick Ward said: "We are delighted to be working with architects Esa, and Houlton, on this very exciting project. "We are thrilled to be part of creating a new state-of-the-art school in our home city, which will be enjoyed and used for generations of pupils to come. "October was a very productive month for EYG Commercial, having secured more than £1.3m worth of work, an outstanding achievement in today's market, which will ensure the business takes nearly £3m of contracts into the new financial year." Commercial manager Steve Swallow said the company is supplying and installing windows, curtain walling and doors, and the fitters will be starting on site at the beginning of next year. EYG is expected to start installation early in the new year. ”
