'We want people to come along and enjoy it'
The idea of the festival is to get people to come along and enjoy live readings, talk to the poets about their work and to ask questions.
We have a range of people taking part, from those who write in a very accessible way to those who work in a more academic way.
I firmly believe that poetry is for everyone. The first thing we learn when we are children is nursery rhymes and they are essentially poems.
Poetry is part of the rhythm of life. There has been huge interest in the festival and there is a real buzz about it.
