We say: This was really nice to shower with, with a heady but pleasant scent, the lavender coming through strongly. A little goes a long way and I didn't emerge all glittery.

They say: Quick-dry high- gloss nail polish that protects and conditions, with maxi- brush technology.

We say: The metallic green colour did not at first appeal, but once it was on the nails it looked good. It was easy to apply but you need a good couple of coats. I got a good couple of days' wear out of it before I needed to change the colour.

Lush The Enchanter bath ballistic, £3.20, www.lush.co.uk

They say: A bewitching ballistic to cast a magical spell of colour and fragrance at bathtime. Neroli and lime oils brighten your mood while frankincense helps that cheerful perfume linger on your skin.

We say: Don't walk away while the bath runs – you need to see this product at work, fizzing away in a fascinating multi-layered action that launches orange, pink and yellow swirls into the water. It's slightly disconcerting bathing in what looks like orangeade, and the sherbert-y fragrance is a bit sickly.

BM Beauty curling mascara, black, 8ml, price £12, bmbeauty.com

They say: Give your lashes a lift – this helps to curl your lashes into a wide-eyed look. The smooth mineral formula will ensure root-to-tip coverage without clumping. Protect and nourish your lashes with a blend of vitamin E, sunflower oil, beeswax and rosemary leaf extract.

We say: Unlike other mascaras I've tried recently, this achieves a far lighter, more wearable look. Lashes are separated, not clumped together by a clog of thick, black gunge. They're light and feathery but still defined. I really liked this mascara for workwear.
